Taking care of your Skin: Facial Radiance

As women we always want to look our best, even if its going to the corner shop.

If you have to wear makeup to the corner shop then I think there is a problem. Peel off the layers and work on your skin. I personally love to use organic products on my face and I will share a few I use to help you on your journey. There are many items & products you can use. But once you find yours stick to it, your face is sensitive so leaving products over night you haven’t tested before may leave you with a little rash, which may not be good if you are going to work.  When I say organic , I mean you can buy from stores also.

I will not be broadening on Tea Tree and Aloe Vera as they both carry similar benefits as the cucumber. I will share the products I use but if you want to be advantageous you can buy them raw and apply. For cost effective and storing reasons, its best to start off with products and if they work for you you can later adjust.

The only raw organic product I use is cucumber,  you can purchase from the supermarket’s for less than 80p especially the half sizes which are from 40p. If you use them on your eyes, great! now start using it on your face too.

Benefits of Cucumber

Gives glowing skin : It is an easy way to get rid of oiliness in skin and leaves you with a glow. Its juice is ideal to be used as a cleanser to relive blemishes and acne. Due to ts 95% water content, the skin is intact and well-moisturised.

Hydrates skin: Cucumber is the perfect way to help hydrate dull skin due to its water content and can easily substitute any moisturiser cream.

Reduces skin tanning, sunburns and rashes: reducing scars.Restoring and evening out your skin complexion.

Anti-ageing benefits: firming up the skin and tightening it. Early use of cucumber reduces and and rather reverses signs of ageing like fine lines, wrinkles and dull skin. This is due to the presence of manganese and potassium.

Soothes dark circles, puffy eyes:Hectic schedules often lead to dark circles and puffy eyes. Cucumbers are an easy and quick way to relive the eyes from dull and dark-looking skin. The cooling properties along with antioxidants and silica present in cucumbers help rejuvenate the skin. It also reduces the water retention and hence controls the puffiness under the eyes.

Controls oil secretion and acne:Cucumber contains antioxidants and resolves inflammation on the skin smoothly. It helps lighten the skin and relieve it from clogged pores and excessive oil.

Slice & Rub

First you can slice thinly and rub all over your face. I love the way the cucumber juice becomes like a light moisturiser and the skins penetrate your surface. You can wash off after or leave over night and you can do this 2-3 times a week.

  • One slice is enough
  • You can also place two on your eyes and relax .

If your on a healthy diet, then you can eat the rest. Or quash for during the week.

Remember to wash your face with your chosen face wash. This is were you can still balance cosmetic & organic. Though there are a number of selections also.
